If you have a child who cannot settle at night or has anxiety problems and cannot sleep I highly recommend you try this book. I was very sceptical when I was told about this book, my curiosity was aroused however as I have a 4yr old grandson who cannot settle well at night and thought I would use him as my guinea pig. I have yet to find out how this lovely book ends as all five children I have read it to now have all fallen asleep well before the end!
How can this work you may well ask? The author has given instructions inside the cover on how to use your voice and where to change the sound of it, you the reader yawn in places and use the person’s name in the story at intervals. This book is for listening too not showing pictures to the person so they have to concentrate on your voice and not get distracted by other thoughts.
In this book Peter Rabbit and his Mum take a walk to Uncle Yawns place so he can put Peter to sleep as he has done many times before.
Since I have been reading this book to my grandchildren they have all had improved sleeping habits which has taken about three weeks to become a solid pattern of 8-12hrs of sleep each night.
I highly recommend this book it will take the worry and anxiety away in a very simple way.
